What is the ideal kitchen layout?
Due to a number of factors, there are different kitchen layouts. Simple kitchen layouts include the line kitchen, the L kitchen and the galley kitchen. More complex layouts (providing more options) include the G, Island and U kitchens. If your are planning your kitchen from the start, keep in mind, the U kitchen is best suited for optimal work flow in the kitchen.

Every kitchen has a main work area. This area should usually be located between the Cleaning zone and the Cooking zone. The majority of your time in the kitchen will take place at the sink or the range, in between the two is the best place for preparation.
